Ian Martin Workforce has partnered with Enbridge Gas to support them in their hiring for Utility field positions. If you have excellent communication skills, a focus on customer service and enjoy working on mechanical tasks outdoors, we have the job for you!
There is a current need for a Utility Services Representatives. In this role, you will be responsible, but is not limited to, assisting with pipeline maintenance, appliance inspections and responding to natural gas emergencies. Above all else, you will ensure safety takes precedent in all tasks!

You will be doing …
- Safe and efficient execution of operations work including pipeline repairs and maintenance, valve inspection and maintenance, construction inspection, customer and distribution station maintenance, natural gas appliance inspection and activation, utilization inspections and infractions and other duties as required.
- Perform natural gas emergency response activities including line-breaks, leak and odour investigations, liaise with fire and police officials, TSSA Inspectors and others as required.
- Perform general duties of a varied nature as required.
- Interact with external customers, maintaining a positive and professional manner that builds the Company image.
- Promote distribution system protection/damage prevention awareness including third party observation activities.
- Perform high-quality work in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Required to wear and maintain company uniforms.
- Participate on standby rotation as required, and shift work may be required.

- Minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Show an active interest in Utility Service work and the ability to learn from experienced team members.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have and retain an appropriate driver’s license and maintain a suitable driving record.
- Ability to operate a personal computer and related company software.
- Must be physically capable to perform strenuous manual labour and be able to wear all appropriate safety equipment.
- Willing to obtain and maintain a Gas Utility Technician (Utility Technician) Certificate and a Pipeline Inspector’s Certificate as established by the TSSA for natural gas distribution utilities within the required time frame.
- Willingness to complete a Mechanical Skills Assessments (online)
- Willingness to complete pre-employment screening including Education and Employment verification, Criminal Record Check, and Drug Screen.
